Why Use a Squeegee?
If you’ve spent any amount of time in the cleaning industry or even visited your local gas pump, you’ve probably seen a squeegee in action. They can be found on the end of a handheld scraper, on a pole, or even on the bottom of a floor scrubber! While relatively simple in concept, these rubber blades are crucial to ensuring the surfaces you clean are truly clean, dry, and streak-free.
Squeegees are a great way to apply and remove cleaning products from surfaces. When functioning correctly, they pick up all water and chemical thrown onto a surface, leaving that surface clean and dry after only one pass. This is especially notable for hard floor care as it reduces the chance for someone to slip and fall in your facility.
Not only are squeegees great for cleaning, but they also tend to be more sanitary than using a rag, cloth, or sponge to clean your surfaces. Because they are made of rubber or other similar materials, squeegees can be easily cleaned and don’t trap moisture, bacteria, or odors.
In addition to hard floor care, another area where squeegees shine is for window cleaning. Visibility is the primary purpose of a window, so a smudge and streak-free finish after cleaning is key. When used properly, a streak-free window finish is possible through the use of a squeegee.
No matter where you’re using your squeegee, you can be assured that your surfaces will be clean, dry, and streak-free! Be sure to check out our squeegees we have in stock here.
